More About Sydney - Editor's Tips - Weather Maps & Dining

Sydney, Asia
Travel + Leisure, July, 2007
"Still, it's easy to feel a tinge of resentment toward the place-so astonishingly blessed is it by climate and geography (that harbor! those beaches!). It is the homecoming queen of travel destinations, topping Travel + Leisure's World's Best Cities poll for eight of the past 11 years. So when I say that Sydney also happens to have, dish for dish, the finest Asian food on the planet, I realize I'm adding to a long litany of hyperbole. But it's true..."

Sydney Intoxicates by Land and by Sea
SFGate.com, March 26, 2006

36 Hours in Sydney
New York Times (free registration required), November 12, 2006
"A boarding pass to Sydney should come with a warning label: Beware, this city will have you questioning the quality of life in your hometown. Sydney has managed to skim the best parts of other cities and swirl them into a perfect blend of urban bliss. At any given time, visitors can enjoy the sun-soaked laid-back vibe of Los Angeles, the cleanliness and efficiency of Geneva, the energizing hustle and bustle of New York City and the Old World charms of London. Pair all of that with a unique brand of casual Aussie warmth and you've got more than enough to justify the otherwise prohibitively long flight to get there. .."
