Orlanda really doesn’t have to be all about Disney. I was there for a business convention (the convenion center is located around International Drive)and I spent one of the best evenings ever visiting two very unlikely spots. The first was the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium located at 8201 International Drive. This place is open every day of the year until 1 am. We were coming back from a late dinner, so this was a perfect stop. This place is a hoot - expect to see shrunken heads, fertility statues, recreations of the World’s largest and smallest people, etc. This might not be the best place to take small children, but tweens and teens will love it. We were just two adults and we had a marvelous time. The next stop was a place called WonderWorks - it’s sort of an upside-down science museum. Kids will LOVE this place, and so will young at heart adults. There’s a “bubble lab,” virtual reality sports, simulated earthquake, and even a bed of nails you can try laying down on. Save lots of time for this place! Teens will love the “design it yourself” roller coaster where you program in what sort of loops and drops you want and then you get a personalized experience. Wonderworks is located at 9067 International Drive, and is open until midnight. If it’s just adults going, you might want to go late to avoid crowds of young children. Highly recommended!
