1. Chuck and Carol Ann Says:

Even mid-summmer Miami rocks… hot and steamy, (okay, it’s really just very, very humid) but okay since there’s always breezy and most bars serve up icy mojito coolers. South Beach is the highlight of the city with hip bars, great dining and the fashionable, young set on every corner. We ate at Pacific Time which serves imaginative Pan-Asian food in a cool, tasteful space. Small delicious servings for big $$, but go anyway…Also ate at Grillfish on Collins for seafood…great fresh food served in an unpretentious and efficient way…lots of hype about the mural on the wall which you won’t notice unless you’re alone at the bar… South of SoBe is Coconut Grove. A beautiful residential area, but the shopping on Coco Walk is pretty commercial, as well as the restaurants, which are big-chain type. For great shopping, head North to Bal Harbour, where you will find open-air boutique shopping that is sophisticated and relaxing.
