Come and get lost in the picturesque streets of Edgartown. The largest town on Martha’s Vineyard is still a quaint place lined with white picket fences and rows of colorful blooming flowers. In town you can shop in the many unique boutiques and dine on world class cuisine. One of my favorite things about Edgartown is its leisurely pace which is easily navigated on foot or bicycle.

One of the best attractions in Edgartown is South Beach. South Beach is one of the most popular spots on the Island. You can stop off at Katama Airpark on the way out to the beach for a scenic ride in one of their biplanes or gliders. Katama General Store is a great last stop shop for everything you’ll need at the beach. It’s a quaint store in a great location with easy access. It’s located on Katama Rd going towards South Beach. They provide great food and unique items ready for easy pick-up. The food is fresher; offerings are more diverse and include unusual gifts, party-platters, home-cooked meals, household accessories and ready-to-go Vineyard entertaining solutions. Skip the traffic of the main grocery store in town and pick-up all your essentials for a great vacation at Katama General Store.

Edgartown is a bit pricier to stay in compared to the other towns but it’s the best place to be. It’s easier just to rent a hotel room or house in town instead of fighting the traffic into town which will inevitably happen because everyone wants to see Edgartown. Reserve early though because the Vineyard is a popular place to be these days and rooms sell out fast.
