We are a family of 3, palnning to be in Branson March 4-10. I am thinking this may not be the best time to go, but we have condo reservations already. What is open for shows and what would be the best for a child of 10 and his parents to really get the most out of our Branson experience?

I live in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. I am interested in coming to Bronson to take in the shows, shop, go to the theme parks, etc. We would like to be in the “thick of things” so we would not have to drive if at all possible. We are not really looking for a wilderness vacation. On the other hand, I would like to use a trade of my timeshare and the possibilities listed in the RCI book are “Big Cedar Wilderness Club, Escapes! to Stonebridge Village, Fairfield Bransan, the Falls Village, French Quarter, Palace View by Spinnaker, Pointe Royale Village & Country Club, Roark Vacation Resort, Silverleaf’s Holiday Hills, Still Waters Vacation Resort, Sunterra Resorts The Plantation at Fall Creek, and WorldMark Bransan. Are there any locals that could give me some suggestions? My e-mail address is geralynn@shaw.ca Thanks.

We are coming to Branson on the 16th of December staying thru the 22nd. We are planning on going to Silver Dollar City to see the lights. Can you suggest some of the shows that will still be open? What is a must see at this time of the year? We are bringing our 82 year old parents with us.

We are trying to plan a trip to Branson on December 22 through 25, 2006 and are wondering about the weather. We are traveling from Kansas. We want to go to Silver Dollar City and Dixie Stampede, among other things. Any advice on nice, but inexpensive places to stay (close to SDC, hopefully) and things to do would be appreciated by this family of four on limited funds! We have been to Branson once and absolutely loved it!
Thank you in advance!!

I’m a branson local and work for bath and body works. I have lived in Branson for 3 yrs. As for accomadations I reccomend The Raddison Hotel or Big Cedar Lodge. Some inexpensive things to do would be go walk around down at the landing, the tanger outlet or go miniature golfing or go see a movie. Free things to do stay in your hotel or at your resort and watch tv or buy a board game. Another thing to do would be to drive around and see the sights. As for another inexpensive thing to do is to go see the christmas lights. If you need ticket info or discount info I can get it for you. I can also find out about golfing. I can reccomend shows for you to go to and shopping.
Sincerely, Bonnie
